1978 ORMOCAR founded in Edenkoben (motorhome accessories, mail order and over the counter sales)
 
1979 First over-cab motorhome body built in conventional steel tube frame construction
 
1980 Move to Dörrenbach
 
1982 Production of the first GRP sandwich bodies
 
1985 First panel press installed (11 x 2.8m) for faster and more flexible reaction to customer requirements.
 
1989 Company registered as ORMOCAR-Reisemobil GmbH
 

2001 Relocation to new premises in Hauenstein. The new site has 200 m2 office and social space, 200 m2 storage space and an 1100 m2 production facility. In addition, 8000 m2 are available for customer parking and used vehicles on site. The new, larger panel press (13.3 x 3.1 m) is put into production.
 
2002 The 1000th custom-built vehicle body is driven out of our facility in Hauenstein!
 
At present, 10 highly skilled staff are employed, primarily in two departments.
 
Construction elements, spares and accessories sales for motorhomes by mail order, and over the counter
Manufacture of:
    •    Sandwich body panels
    •    Custom cabins (without fittings)
    •    Custom built, ready-to-roll motorhomes and expedition vehicle in all sizes
    •    Special vehicles and cabins for private and commercial use
    •    Installation service for most motorhome accessories (all makes)
